The Belhar Confession

This summer Synod will decide whether to adopt The Belhar Confession as a 4th confession along with the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession and Canons of Dordt. This possibility has been greatly debated throughout the denomination for years. The Council of Ivanrest Chruch has invited Dr. Jim De Jong, retired president of Calvin Seminary, to introduce the Belhar Confession to us and help us discern both the advantages and the reservations that come with its possible adoption.
