Read Through the New Testament
This eight-week experience begins Easter Sunday, April 4.
Read the New Testament
The cornerstone of this experience is a volume called The Books of the Bible: New Testament. One copy will be provided to each participant. This New Testament has several unique features which should make for a fresh and insightful reading of familiar passages.
Follow the Plan
The reading plan is divided into eight weeks, with five days of reading each week. This works out to about ten pages a day. Participants will also receive daily emails with links to both audio and text files of that day's passage.
Build Community
We encourage you to study the New Testament in community by participating in a discussion group. Group members will talk about what they're discovering and learning through their daily readings. Two discussion groups will meet at church:
- Sundays from 9:50 - 10:50 AM beginning April 11
- Mondays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM beginning April 12
We also encourage you to form your own discussion group.
Give Back
Ivanrest Church has been invited to be a pilot church by Biblica, the publisher of The Books of the Bible: New Testament. At the end of the campaign, the folks at Biblica would like feedback from participants. You will have the opportunity to share comments and insights about your experience.
